Poetry book cover design & typesetting

This book comprises 122 poems which were translated into Maltese during the translation workshops of the Inizjamed Festival’s first sixteen editions. Poetry puts feelings into words the way colour can ignite feelings. I chose to use my film photographs that formed fuzzy combinations of colours for the cover design. I split the design into fifteen lines to represent each of the years leading up to the collection of poems while mirroring the stacking format of words poetry normally forms.
